Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how MindBloom Daily LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use mindbloomdaily.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. Email address, display name, password hash, and optional profile fields you fill in (bio, avatar, languages, family context).
  • Membership and payment metadata. Tier (Free, Pro, Pro Plus), subscription status, and the masked metadata returned by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Content you create. Articles, comments, reactions, messages, and any media you upload.
  • Usage data. Pages viewed, time on page, referrer, rough geographic region from IP, device type, and browser. Used to improve the product and pay writers based on read-time.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookies section below.

2. How we use your information

  • Deliver the Service you signed up for (sign-in, subscriptions, content).
  • Send transactional email (receipts, account, password reset) and the Daily Drop newsletter if you opted in.
  • Pay writers based on read-time and single-article sales.
  • Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
  • Improve the product through aggregate analytics.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email or identifying information with advertisers.

3. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies that fall into four categories:

  • Strictly necessary. Required for sign-in, security, and core functionality. Cannot be disabled.
  • Functional. Remember your preferences (theme, reading position).
  • Analytics. Help us understand which articles people read and where they bounce. Only loaded after consent.
  • Advertising. Loaded only on free-tier pages, only after consent. See Advertising Disclosure.

You can manage your preferences any time via the "Cookie settings" link in our footer. See our Cookie Policy for a full list.

4. Advertising — Google AdSense

On free articles and free pages we display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet. Google's ad practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com or via optout.aboutads.info. Pro and Pro Plus members never see ads and have no advertising cookies set.

5. How we share information

We share information only with vetted service providers acting on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting), our email provider (transactional + newsletter), and Google AdSense (free-tier advertising only). Each is bound by a Data Processing Agreement.

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

6. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for 12 months after deletion (for fraud prevention and legal obligations). Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by tax law. Aggregate analytics are retained indefinitely.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA, others) you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent (for processing based on consent).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Email privacy@mindbloomdaily.com to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

MindBloom Daily is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we delete it promptly.

9. International transfers

We are based in the United States. By using the Service from outside the US, you understand your information is processed in the US under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses where required).

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (TLS in transit, encryption at rest, hashed passwords, role-based access). No system is perfectly secure — if a breach occurs we will notify affected users without undue delay.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes are announced via email and a banner on the site at least 14 days before taking effect.
